Hi there, I'm Melanie!

I help people manage life's uncertainties and feel better about themselves. My focus is supporting you in achieving your goals while acknowledging that you are the expert on yourself. Together we work to learn, support, and empower your therapeutic journey and achievements.

My focus

I work with clients who want help stepping outside their comfort zone and trusting someone to help them help themselves. Clients who feel they are drowning and clients trying to prevent that. Clients who want daily support and clients who need someone to bounce concerns off of. All are welcome here.

My approach

I meet clients exactly where they are. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help balance overwhelming emotional thinking with rational approaches that help you take back control. We evaluate old thinking patterns working against you and give you tools to implement new skills that work with you.

My communication style

I want you to feel safe as you embark on the journey of growth and change. Empowered to share and be vulnerable and to trust that we are working alongside one another to achieve your goals. When you leave a session, I want you to feel heard, supported, and ready to apply skills and measure growth.

My journey to mental healthcare

I wanted to help people. I saw my mother struggle and felt hopeless to help her, without the skills to even communicate the concerns I had. I decided I would do something about it. My hope is to continue offering that same support and safety to my clients now and into the future.

My goals for you

I work with my clients to support their goals—not what I think makes sense, but what feels feasible to you. That might mean larger goals with smaller achievable steps underneath, or recognizing growth as we step into barriers. The goal is for you to feel ready to take on the challenge and know you are not alone.

Our first session

I'll ask if you have questions about my approach, the platform, or costs so you can feel safe and at ease. Then I'll ask what led you to start therapy and what worked or didn't work in past experiences. We'll explore how we'll know therapy is working and develop our plan using CBT with evidence-based techniques and tools.
