Hi there, I'm Lee Anne!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with an MA degree, specializing in Addictions, and I am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I am currently working on my dissertation to earn a PhD in General Psychology, with a research focus on community well-being after a school shooting. I look forward to meeting you!

My focus

I enjoy helping others reach goals and find a place of happiness in their lives. My specialties include adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, substance use disorders, anger management, anxiety, depression, family relationships, stress, suicidal ideation and/or self-harming, grief, and trauma.

My approach

I believe that it is extremely important for you to feel relaxed and understood during therapy. I sincerely care about your well-being and want you to feel encouraged to be genuine and open about yourself. My goal for you is empowerment and gaining the confidence to make transformations.

My communication style

It is important that you feel relaxed while we are in session, so you feel safe when you need to be vulnerable. I want you to feel comfortable working with me while we identify your positive attributes and maximize them to reach your desired result.

My journey to mental healthcare

Life is tough and can be unfair. We are faced with heartbreaks and afflictions. It is normal for us to go through difficult times where we feel sad, bitter, angry, or just 'stuck in a rut.'

My goals for you

If you are striving for more but don't know how to get there, and if you are ready to make some changes, then I'd love to be the person assisting you to "glow" up. After we create 2 or 3 treatment goals together during our first few sessions, we will create a plan of action, unique to your personality and strengths.

Our first session

Before we meet, you will fill out a short psychosocial form, with some individual and family mental health history, your current "state of mind/feeling", and the reason for pursuing counseling. During our first session, we will get to know one another and review this form in order to create treatment goals that we will work towards together.
