My communication style

I believe open and direct communication is most helpful in counseling. I will match that openness with understanding and empathy because I know how scary and intimidating therapy can be. I see counseling as an ongoing discussion about change, and you can expect me to be sensitive to your needs as we work together.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey in becoming a provider is rooted in walking with people through hard times. I've had people in my life offer me that blessing, and I strive to offer that to others. For me, being your therapist is a huge honor, and I won't take that lightly.

My goals for you

We will work together to identify challenging but reachable goals, but your therapy belongs to you. I will respect the direction you want to go and work with you to get there. I believe in you winning, even if that is in smaller, achievable steps.

Our first session

First sessions have a unique feel. A first session with me is simply focused on gathering some information about your situation so we can begin together to determine your next steps. I'm laid back, and I enjoy humor, even in the midst of struggle. I believe you will leave our first session with a feeling that I'm safe to talk to and want to help.
