My communication style

My sessions are client-focused. You are the expert in your own life. My goal is to listen and find the answers that you already have and help you recognize and implement those. I am looking for strengths that you already have and that help you expand and utilize those strengths.

My journey to mental healthcare

I worked with all kinds of children and families. I noticed that families needed help with family dynamics and parenting. I became interested in wanting to help, which led me to be a marriage and family therapist. Today, I enjoy working with families, couples, individuals, and teenagers.

My goals for you

I like to begin with small steps toward goal setting. Big change starts with small changes. Once you see small steps create positive change, then bigger changes will come once success is experienced, one step at a time.

Our first session

In the first session, I like to listen to why you have entered therapy, what you have tried already, and what you expect to happen with our time together. From there, we will quickly try and establish small steps to try and elicit some change, which will lead to more change and success.
