Hi there, I'm Ralph!

I am a licensed psychologist with extensive training in the treatment of depression, anxiety, work stress, chronic medical conditions, pain management, PTSD, substance abuse, and other addictive behaviors. My goal is to help you navigate life's challenges with compassion and evidence-based care.

I work with adults, senior citizens, medical populations, and those navigating substance abuse recovery. My experience spans diverse settings and life circumstances including direct provider and supervisory roles.

My approach

My therapeutic approach is eclectic and tailored to your needs. I draw from CBT, Psychodynamic, Reality Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, DBT, Jungian Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy to find what works best for you.

My communication style

I do a lot of listening during sessions, but also provide responsive feedback in recognition of client needs, especially during a crisis situation or when familial stressors and work-related time limits are involved.

My journey to mental healthcare

After a corporate layoff, a career assessment revealed my calling was in a helping profession. I pursued training in counseling and psychology because helping people navigate life's twists and turns brings me deep fulfillment.

My goals for you

I develop therapeutic goals in coordination with your input and desires. Periodically, I check in with you regarding satisfaction with our pace or if a course correction is needed.

Our first session

During the first session or two, a client can expect that I will gather a lot of information, including a psych history, to accurately assess the client’s needs and mutually develop a realistic, achievable treatment plan. Of course, I will also include time to discuss the client’s immediate concerns.
