Hi there, I'm Carolyn!

Greetings, I am a licensed professional counselor with an extensive background working with children/adolescents/ and families. As a community leader, I served in education for over 26 years. I am particularly passionate about working with those who experience anxiety, depression, anger, and grief. My biggest strength is connecting with clients.

My ideal client is someone who is open about the areas they want to grow in and committed to doing the work needed for meaningful change. I work best with individuals who value honesty, self reflection, and collaboration as we move together toward lasting progress.

My approach

I employ a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach, empowering clients with practical strategies to modify behaviors that fuel anxiety and stress. Through CBT, we identify and challenge negative thought patterns and develop coping mechanisms for managing challenging emotions and situations.

I am a dedicated counselor committed to supporting clients with respect, honesty, and mutual understanding. My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to becoming a provider started when I took my first psychology class in high school. I knew instantly I wanted to help people understand their behaviors, emotions,and learn effective coping strategies.

My goals for you

During the initial session I will ask you to set goals for therapy and we will develop a therapy plan together. You will also be asked to take a few assessments to determine your baseline for anxiety and depression. Throughout the process you will be asked to complete activities and to self-monitor your progress.

Our first session

In our first session together, we will get to know each other and introduce ourselves. I will ask that you complete the intake paperwork in the system, along with a couple of other tools (prior to our first session). During the session, I will ask you to discuss the specific challenge that brought you to counseling. This will help me design a plan
