My communication style

I believe that therapy is a partnership. We’ll identify and set goals that matter to you, whether they focus on improving relationships, building self-esteem, or another personal objective. As we work together, your goals may evolve as you gain new insights. We can adapt our plan at any time to ensure it’s always meaningful and relevant to you.

My journey to mental healthcare

I worked as a mental health technician in a behavioral hospital and a refugee resettlement agency after my first degree. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have also earned a master’s in counseling and Sociology from East Texas A&M Universitye.

My goals for you

We’ll start with a brief introduction, then dive into the specific challenge you’re facing. I need to know you as a person first. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in the follow-up sessions. I will get to know you as a person and have some historical perspectives about you, to develop our therapeutic relationship.
