My communication style

I am open-minded and create a safe place to build a connection, effective communication, and active listening. I pay attention to body language and encourage communication using open-ended questions.

My journey to mental healthcare

I became a therapist to have the opportunity to care for others, help them work through a challenging time, and help them feel better. It provides the opportunity to understand oneself and others and provides personally meaningful and impactful work.

My goals for you

Positive outcomes from therapy rely on the relationship between therapist and client. We'll develop coping skills, reduce the intensity of symptoms, increase self-esteem and reduce negative self-talk, process thoughts and feelings about past trauma, and discover more about who you are, what you want, and where your values lie.

Our first session

The first session is about building an initial connection and helping me get a sense of where we should go from there. I use Motivational Interviewing to help you gain insights and initiate positive behavior change, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to reconstruct maladaptive thoughts and behavioral patterns.
