I strive to meet the client where they are and use what they love to help them build skills. I love helping teens and young adults become the person they want to be one level at a time.

My focus

I typically work with teens and young adults (13-30). I work with suicidal thoughts, self-harm, depression, anxiety, and adjustments to different life events. I have worked with grief and other disorders as well.

My approach

I use evidence-based modalities, such as DBT, CBT, and experiential learning. I also use pop culture (roll credits), geek speak, and media to better teach therapeutic concepts.

My communication style

I believe I have an open communication style. I have been told that I can call out clients for issues they are trying to avoid. I believe my office is welcoming and comfortable. I use things you are interested in to help you understand therapy terms.

My journey to mental healthcare

I found my passion for working with teens during my internship. I have worked in many different settings, including inpatient hospitals, residential, and IOP. I identify as a Disney Adult, Potter Head, and all-around geek. I am fluent in video game terms, Disney song lyrics, and light saber colors.

I hold the client accountable for the goals they set for themselves. I want goals to be achievable for the client.
