Hi there, I'm Candice!

I work with adults who are suffering from anxiety, depression, grief, medical issues, and trauma. My goal is to help you develop creative solutions and learn to advocate for yourself in a safe, nonjudgmental space.

My focus

I work with individuals dealing with mood disorders, attachment wounds, anxiety, chronic illness, substance abuse, suicidal ideation, grief, and trauma. I bring life experience understanding how trauma impacts families, chronic pain, adolescent depression, and addiction.

My approach

I draw from Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and EMDR to create strong therapeutic relationships. As a former educator, I use psycho-education to empower you to make positive changes and process trauma with hope.

My communication style is open and honest. I provide an environment that feels safe and without judgment. I appreciate your perceptions, beliefs, and the challenges you face.

My journey to mental healthcare

Curiosity attracted me to this career and drives my work. I wanted to understand myself and family members with mental illnesses. My mother, a clinical social worker, inspired and championed my journey to becoming a counselor.

My goals for you

Goal setting is an integral part of therapy and should be done collaboratively. It helps clarify priorities, discuss expectations, and measure progress. Goals should be personal and flexible, and celebrating accomplishments is important.
