I work with children, adults, and elderly people. The treatment modalities I use are DBT, CBT, and Trauma-Informed Care.

My focus

I typically work with children, adolescents, and adults. I like to work with clients in building their self-esteem, improving coping skills, and improving relationships with others. I also provide trauma-informed therapy to help clients who have a history of trauma in their lives.

My approach

My therapeutic approach is person-centered and strength-based. I have experience working with improving communication skills, conflict resolution, anger management, and assisting in improving parent/child relationships. I also work with clients to help them cope with anxiety, depression, grief, life changes, and trauma.

My communication style

My communication style is calm, caring, and supportive. I feel my role is to support, not judge, my clients. I am aware that each person is unique and has different needs. My goal is to make each person feel comfortable and validated.

My journey to mental healthcare

I worked as a social worker but realized that each person I worked with had needs in addition to the needs I was able to meet as a case manager. My desire was to help them cope with problems and build the skills they needed to thrive.

My goals for you

My approach to setting goals with each client is to gather information about their unique problems and concerns. During intake, I discuss available evidence-based treatment strategies. I work with clients to set goals and develop approaches for their individual treatment plans.

Our first session will focus on gathering information and learning about your needs, concerns, and problem areas. We will explore areas you want to focus on and discuss evidence-based strategies that might be helpful for you. The first session will focus on building rapport and helping you feel comfortable and validated.
