My pronoun is (she/her), and I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC in 2012. I earned a master’s degree in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 2019. I am licensed to practice in the stated of NC, SC and VA.

My focus

I have worked in a variety of clinical settings (inpatient and outpatient) in North and South Carolina and Virginia. I have over 16 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, groups, and couples. I am inclusive, anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and passionate about self-love, self-respect and relationships.

My approach

I use a variety of eclectic therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Therapy to support clients in their processes to balance, empowerment and wellness.

My communication style

My clinical approach is to walk together with clients through the “shenanigans” of life with a relaxed, genuine and straight-forward approach. I will always offer support in a safe and a non-judgmental space.

My journey to mental healthcare

I love the work of talking with people, identifying what is working and what is not and being a cheerleader for change. It is who I have always been since a young child.

When setting goals with clients, I like to discuss where clients want to see themselves. Together, we will design measurable and timely goals that will define and reflect our work together.

Our first session

During a first session, we will discuss what brought you into therapy, the current structure of your immediate family and current stressors. We will also review your medications, doctors and other supports.
