I work with adolescents and adults, helping to better their lives. I use various approaches to therapy, as one shoe does not fit all.

In my work, I have found that CBT can be extremely helpful for folks who may be struggling with anxiety and depression.

My approach

My therapy style can vary widely. Typically, I use CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Solution-Focused Therapy to assist folks in solving day-to-day concerns.

My communication style

My communication style may be described as lax, as I feel this allows the client to be comfortable. I pride myself on being allied with LGBTQIA2 and identify as a Black woman.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was inspired by my therapist years ago to pursue this work. I enjoy assisting and watching folks reach their goals and get back to them.

My goals for you

I believe goal setting is with both the Therapist and Client on board. This is necessary for the therapeutic process.

Our first session

Usually, the first session involves several questions being asked. This will help us both formulate a game plan for therapy. What you can expect is for us to spend the majority of our time talking about how you've been feeling recently, and me asking questions to better understand why you may be feeling that way.
