Hi there, I'm Leah!

I offer insight-oriented, psychodynamic psychotherapy and EMDR therapy in a safe, non-judgmental, supportive space where we can focus on the work that feels most important to you.

My focus

I work with adults of all ages to address depression, anxiety, life transitions, and trauma.

My approach

I work from a strengths-based perspective, supporting you throughout the therapeutic process. I believe that the course of therapy should be individualized, strengths-based, and driven by the person served.

My communication style

I offer open dialogue talk therapy, which is conversational in nature, to create a welcoming atmosphere.

My journey to mental healthcare

I earned a Master's degree in Social Work from Fordham University in 2009, and I have been practicing psychotherapy in different settings since then, including outpatient mental health clinics, inpatient psychiatry, outpatient medical centers, and private practice.

My goals for you

I approach goal-setting by working to identify symptoms first, and also how these impact daily functioning.

Our first session

During a first session, clients can expect a warm, non-judgmental, and welcoming atmosphere where we can focus on and discuss the reason they are seeking therapy and the work they would like to focus on. I also ask some questions about early life in order to get to know and understand each person that I work with.
