My communication style

I strive to create a non-judgmental, friendly, and humorous atmosphere. I deeply listen to help identify patterns needing change and strategies to face what lies ahead. I work best with those who are motivated to examine their thought and behavior and are willing to be open and authentic.

My journey to mental healthcare

I initially began researching human behavior to understand certain events that happened in my life. I then decided to take a course in Abnormal Psychology, and I excelled in this course. So I set my major and continued on this course of study. I found it fascinating, and my profession suggested I pursue a career in psychology.

My goals for you

I approach goal setting based on the client's presenting issue. I ask directly what they want to achieve by attending and participating in therapy. I ensure the client knows that the goals are defined by them and they direct sessions, but I will also prompt discussions based on identified patterns or stand-out concepts that may need examination.

Our first session

We'll review confidentiality and my background, then discuss your past therapy experiences, family background, current family structure, and what brings you to therapy. This helps us understand your needs and begin building our therapeutic relationship.
