My role is to create a safe and supportive environment where you can express yourself without shame. I specialize in working with individuals navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma.

I work with adolescents and adults managing relationship issues, school or work challenges, life transitions, or other unique challenges. I use cognitive-behavioral therapy to help you name and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, giving you tools to feel more in control of your emotions and behaviors. Based on your unique needs, I adapt my approach to include mindfulness and communication skills. We collaborate on your goals and monitor progress as we work together.

My communication style is direct yet gentle and calm, creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and give thoughtful, respectful feedback to help you reflect and know yourself. I sit with you through the discomfort that can come with therapy so that you can move through that toward the changes you want to see.

My journey to mental healthcare

My interest in becoming a therapist stems from my own experience with therapy as a client and seeing the wonders it did for my personal growth and the growth in my relationships. I have a deep belief that individual and relational therapy can be life-changing.

In our sessions, I will help you identify what you would like to see improve and how you visualize yourself, your relationships, and your life by the end of therapy.

Our first session

During our first session, we cover basic information and policies and get to know one another. I will want to hear what brings you to therapy and to understand your background and experiences. From there, we will work together toward what you would like to work on. You are not broken, and you likely have what you need already within yourself.
