I genuinely enjoy people and learning about their life challenges and successes. I work from a strengths perspective—we all have them—and explore how we can capitalize on our strengths to overcome obstacles. I have worked with all age groups, but prefer adults.

My caseload typically includes people who are experiencing anxiety or depression, adjustment issues, and working with people around relationship issues.

My approach

I typically prefer brief, solution-focused sessions where the client is given tools to use immediately. I see you as the author of your story, and I am just the proofreader to see if we can work on any plot lines that you are not happy with. We work as a team to reframe issues and find solutions.

My communication style

I try to create a very relaxed, light environment where my clients can feel comfortable and share their thoughts and concerns. I would like my clients to feel like they are valued and have taken something new from each session.

My journey to mental healthcare

I realized I was very drawn to behavioral health. I would usually spend time talking with patients and would discover that they had many personal issues impacting their physical health. Talking about those issues often lightened their physical pain. I realized the importance of prevention and self-care.
