I am a therapist specializing in the healing of neurodivergent and transgender people. My approach to therapy centers on the recognition that diverse genders and neurotypes are not pathologies.

My focus

The clients that I work with are neuroqueers. These are individuals who have experienced complex trauma surrounding the minority stress associated with being a neurodivergent, gender non-conforming person, living in a neuronormative, cis/heteronormative society.

My approach

My approach is largely acceptance-based. I aim to help clients understand their experiences through the lens of neurodiversity and queer acceptance. Exploring and affirming neuroqueer identity, unmasking, and healing from complex trauma are some of the interventions used in my approach.

Clients typically find me relatable and affirming. As an autistic transgender woman, I know how real the struggle is. My approach is client-centered and personal.

My journey to mental healthcare

I became a mental health therapist after years helping people overcome addictions. My work as a Substance Use Disorder Professional sparked interest in general mental health therapy. After several years, I rediscovered myself as an autistic transgender woman. I am passionate about helping people walk the same bed of coals that I walk.

Our first session

In our first session, we will be completing a biopsychosocial evaluation. This interview will consist of questions covering your history and presenting problems. Following the interview, we will discuss diagnoses and appropriate treatment.
