I believe in providing a nonjudgmental person-centered approach to assisting with decreasing dysfunctional behaviors at home, in the community, and at school. I work to meet clients where they are and help them find better ways to cope with situations causing disruptions in their daily lives.
My focus
I focus on working with clients on an individual vs. cookie-cutter perspective. I do this by listening to them and helping them gain insight into understanding how their behaviors play a major role in shaping their future.
My approach
My approach to therapy involves using cognitive behavioral techniques, as I believe thoughts are directly tied to behaviors. Once we can identify irrational thoughts, we can start to learn more positive functional behaviors to respond to uncomfortable situations.
