My communication style

I tend to be as direct as I deem appropriate. I am inquisitive so ask a lot of questions. Questions also help protect me from making assumptions, which I try not to do.

My journey to mental healthcare

While I didn't always want to be a psychotherapist, I grew into it. I have loved helping people and problem-solving for years. I grew an interest in sitting down 1:1 to do those things. I also grew into wanting to be nosy, but healthily.

My goals for you

I try to be mindful of your goals throughout treatment and will do check-ins with you to ensure we're making progress towards them. Reaching goals can look a lot of different ways and depends on the individual/couple/family.

Our first session

Not as person-centered as I'd like. We have to complete some paperwork, perhaps review assessments, start exploring to help identify an appropriate diagnosis/diagnoses, while trying to balance you having some space start getting to know you and what brings you into treatment.
