I welcome anyone who feels bothered, ashamed, confused, or frightened and wishes to explore their feelings to feel better. It's not uncommon to be hesitant about opening up to a therapist. I am here for you and understand you. I look at how you feel about yourself and give you the chance to feel comfortable so you can move forward.
My focus
I enter the therapy room with the attitude that our time together is your time. No matter who you are or what you talk about, I focus on you and your feelings, both those you are aware of and those which frighten you and which you keep under wraps. This can be painful and embarrassing, but I hold steadfast in meeting you where you are.
My approach
My approach is to listen to your words and the feelings that lurk inside you. I provide reflections to give you assurance and help you find and express your feelings. Therapy is not a cognitive exercise but a time to explore and deal with feelings. This can be frightening, but my assurances ease your fear so you can be who you are.
