My focus

I work with adults and older adults navigating life transitions, substance use, health challenges, immigration, and identity issues. I also serve military members, families, and first responders. Our work may include exploring trauma, building skills, expressing self, developing relationship strategies, and managing stress.

My approach

I take a client-centered, solution-focused approach to counseling and whole-person care. I work with you to find the right approach that fits your lifestyle. That can include using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to identify and manage negative thought patterns, mindfulness to manage stress, or healing from past traumas and building resilience.

My communication style

As a practitioner of trauma-informed care, I believe in clear, open, and honest communication. I provide a forum in which you feel safe, supported, and free from judgment, so we can focus on your goals together.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always been passionate about supporting others through life challenges and people's potential for healing. Early losses to substance use and suicide fostered my desire to deepen my knowledge in hospice, substance use, and suicide care. This validated my belief that people have the capacity to navigate challenges and heal.

My goals for you

You are the expert on you and your life history. I partner with you to collaboratively decide what and how you would like to implement changes. I provide suggestions and tools, but ultimately, you determine your treatment plan. As we work together, you may change your goals, and that is ok.

Our first session

In our first session, we will assess to understand why you are seeking counseling. This can include your background and your goals for therapy. This is also a time when we get to start our therapeutic relationship and focus on you. Change can be hard. Thank you for taking this first step.
