Hi there, I'm Laura!

I have enjoyed my work with many individuals and couples. It has been very rewarding and fulfilling when I see progress and growth in each of my clients throughout the counseling process.

My focus

I believe in teamwork. I love to work with clients who are motivated inside and outside of our sessions. Building healthy relationships is the ultimate goal of the counseling process. Starting from providing a nurturing, supportive, safe, and secure environment, in my responsibility as a therapist to each of my clients.

My approach

My approach emphasizes improving clients' emotional awareness. Once clients understand the triggers of their emotions, they control their emotions instead of emotions controlling them. Once clients connect their head and heart, they recognize their wants and needs with clarity.

My communication style

I enjoy and practice assertive communication. Being open, showing interest in, and expressing empathy are essential to building healthy communication with clients.

My journey to mental healthcare

I enjoy seeing people happy. Many people suffer from challenging relationships. My goal is to help people connect and build healthy relationships within themselves and with their loved ones. In order to have a healthy community, we need healthy connections with one another.

My goals for you

Clients are encouraged to identify where the issues are and recognize their wants and needs ultimately. It is important that clients set goals that are realistic and achievable.

The first session is for me to get to know you. I would love to hear and understand what brings you to me, and what your expectations are. I would also share my insight about your situation and what we can do to move forward. In such a way, we are developing our working relationship starting from the very first session.
