I work primarily with adults. Many of my clients are in recovery from addiction or childhood trauma but still find life challenging with their families, significant others, and working relationships.

My approach

Life often presents situations where we feel challenged, overwhelmed, or out of control. Whatever brings you to counseling is your chance to explore who you are and embrace your power. My approach focuses on your self-care and the safety you provide yourself by setting boundaries. We will explore choices and solutions and how you feel about them.

My communication style

I create a safe space by being an attentive listener and will ask clarifying questions. As the relationship becomes more trusting, I will ask more penetrating questions, identifying ambiguities and conflicts with your thoughts, feelings, and actions. We will explore choices and solutions, and how you feel and think about them.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always had a deep care for people. As a client in therapy, I realized that self-care was paramount to my health and well-being. Knowing my boundaries and being able to set them will determine my well-being.
