In my practice, I focus on those who have been feeling stuck. You may have seen therapists before, but the core problem doesn't seem to go away. Focusing on the patterns of your thoughts and emotions, we can identify some of the undercurrents of your life to create real and lasting change.
My focus
I work with clients who struggle with emotional overcontrol. When feeling emotionally uncomfortable, you might shut down, get very quiet, or say everything is fine when it's not. Our goals are to learn to open up again, slowly and on your terms, so you can connect with others and have more fulfilling relationships.
My approach
I use psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy, radically open dialectical behavior therapy, and schema therapy. The overall approach is designed to understand each unique individual in their own context rather than trying to fit them into a preconceived diagnostic label or box.
