My communication style

My style is very casual. I want my clients to feel as if they are speaking with a trusted, knowledgeable friend who happens to have specialized training, with the ability to be objective and honest. I am also direct and do my best to keep clients accountable for their stated goals.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was always the person everyone came to for advice or to mediate conflict, which led me to study the behavioral sciences. I'm motivated by a desire to help people live their best lives, whatever that looks and feels like for them.

My goals for you

Goal setting can be intimidating! Sometimes clients don't know how to put into words what their desired outcomes are; they just know they want to feel better. I like to ask rather than assume, and respect the client's words in formulating goals.

Our first session

The first session is about getting to know one another, a chance to ask burning questions, and begin establishing trust and rapport. It may be a bit more formal than subsequent sessions, as there's a lot to learn to set the tone moving forward.
