Hi there, I'm Jay!

I am an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who has been working in rural Wisconsin for over six years. Previously, I worked in inpatient psychiatry as an RN at a Veteran Medical Center, as well as a CNA at a large medical center. These experiences and more have led me to help many on their mental health journey.

My focus

I strive to support individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use, and help them identify ways to help themselves through medication and brief, focused, and supportive therapy.

My approach

The advice I would give to patients is to expect not only discussing medication for treatment of their mental health issues, but counseling and education regarding the medication and things they can do to improve their lives. Psychiatry is so much more than medication, it is the understanding that change and health is found within the individual,
