Hi there, I'm Lynette!

As a therapist, my core values are the dignity and worth of all persons and a person's right to self-determination. My therapy approach varies by the problems you bring to therapy. My expertise has been trauma work, depression/anxiety, and suicide prevention.

I have worked with diverse populations and can adapt to be where my clients are. I have a large skill set for all kinds of problems clients bring to therapy.

I strive to bring evidence-based practices such as CBT, ACT (acceptance & commitment therapy), CPT-PTSD, PE (prolonged exposure), Problem Solving Therapy, Mindfulness, DBT (Dialectical behavior therapy), as well as humanistic approaches.

My journey to mental healthcare

Growing up in a small rural community, there was no mental healthcare, but lots of gossip. I vowed to attain my degree to create safe spaces for people to heal and grow safely. I'm honored to work in mental healthcare and provide therapy with compassion and confidentiality.

I use the SMART goal approach, a collaboration with clients as active participants.

Our first session

The first session is building rapport while gathering information to identify the problem and prepare to set goals. I will orient clients to various therapies and clarify our expectations for each other. I provide information related to scheduling, crisis intervention, and contacts.
