I retired from community mental health to begin private practice part-time in 2020. Three main career tracks have been teaching, administration, and counseling. I am the author of several books and am currently writing one to help caregivers. I am also an ordained minister with my denomination and enjoy working with clients of most all ages.

I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2002 in the state of Texas. In 2023 I received my L.P.C in Arkansas. I am also a L.P.C. Clinical Supervisor in Texas. I have worked in a variety of settings such as community mental health agencies, private practice and managed care companies.

I strongly believe in self-empowerment. I enjoy helping clients find the tools to change their own lives. I work a lot with patients that have experienced trauma, whether the trauma happened recently or decades ago. I am a Christian-based therapist, but I am very experienced with religious traumas and work well with those who struggle with faith.
