Common mental health medications that are controlled substances include stimulants to treat ADHD (Adderall, Ritalin, Vyvanse), benzodiazepines to treat acute anxiety/insomnia (Xanax, Klonopin, Valium), opioids to treat substance use disorder or pain conditions (Suboxone, buprenorphine, Norco, Morphine) and certain sleep aids (Ambien, Lunesta). If your purpose in scheduling a visit is only to obtain a controlled medication, you will need to seek care from an external, in-person provider. Telehealth appointments scheduled with the intent to obtain restricted medications are non-refundable.
