My name is Jacky (김재옥) & my name translates to "pearl of wisdom" in Korean. I am an LCSW in OR (pending in WA) with 11 yrs of exp in MH. My journey began advocating for individuals in the criminal justice system in public defender offices. As a former DACA kid and SA survivor, I carry a deep understanding of resilience and hope in everything I do.

I’m a clinical social worker deeply committed to serving BIPOC and Alaska Native communities through culturally responsive, trauma-informed care. I currently serve as a clinician in Southeast Alaska. Our work together is about finding your way back to yourself. In each session, we’ll make space for softness, for honesty, for breathing room.

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused therapy, and mindfulness-based practices to support clients in achieving their goals and working towards fulfillment and feeling better.

I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who may suffer from depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health concerns.

I'm passionate about helping people feel heard, understood, and empowered. I work with kids, teens, adults, couples, and families, and I believe that with the right support, we all have the ability to grow and heal. I grew up in a Latino family, surrounded by military members, and spent summers with my mom on communes in Oregon. This gave me a wide understanding of humankind. I am a clinical supervisor/counselor whose focus includes trauma, healing the inner child, changing survival skills to thrive skills, inner critic ninja skills, and freedom from shame.

I will provide a safe place for my clients to explore their struggles and learn new, healthy tools and coping skills. I have experience working with children, foster children, parents, and foster parents, and I am committed to showing all clients they have the strength to work through difficult challenges.

I am a bilingual therapist (English & Creole) who has worked in the mental health field in various capacities. I work with individuals, couples, families, and other related systems. I have worked with diverse clients across age, gender, sexual orientation, spirituality, culture, ability, and socioeconomic status.

I use an eclectic approach to treat depression, anxiety, personality disorders, LGBTQIA issues, marriage/couples, and family counseling. I work with therapeutic modalities including CBT, DBT, the Gottman Method, Attachment Theory, Grief Counseling, Motivational Interviewing, and Family Counseling.

Janice Miller is a licensed marriage and family therapist (MFT) with nine years of experience working with adults and teens. She specializes in supporting LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent populations, offering affirming, inclusive, and compassionate care. Her approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, helping individuals feel seen, and understood.

My approach is to listen with compassion and understanding, and the knowledge that when someone takes the step to come to therapy, they do so from a position of strength. Understandably, it can also be very uncomfortable to divulge so much about yourself to a stranger, and with that, I honor and acknowledge that you have taken that step.

My areas of expertise include assessment, child abuse and neglect, bilingual therapy, family systems, domestic violence, crisis counseling, and suicide prevention.
