I’m a clinical social worker deeply committed to serving BIPOC and Alaska Native communities through culturally responsive, trauma-informed care. I currently serve as a clinician in Southeast Alaska. I grew up in a Latino family, surrounded by military members, and spent summers with my mom on communes in Oregon. This gave me a wide understanding of humankind. I am a clinical supervisor/counselor whose focus includes trauma, healing the inner child, changing survival skills to thrive skills, inner critic ninja skills, and freedom from shame.

My approach is to listen with compassion and understanding, and the knowledge that when someone takes the step to come to therapy, they do so from a position of strength. Understandably, it can also be very uncomfortable to divulge so much about yourself to a stranger, and with that, I honor and acknowledge that you have taken that step.

I use an eclectic approach to treat depression, anxiety, personality disorders, LGBTQIA issues, marriage/couples, and family counseling. I work with therapeutic modalities including CBT, DBT, the Gottman Method, Attachment Theory, Grief Counseling, Motivational Interviewing, and Family Counseling.
