At times, we may also feel that no one can understand or relate to us due to our individual differences. My diverse background and resiliency have assisted in my ability to relate to individuals regardless of their socioeconomic status.

I feel that I have two major responsibilities as a counselor: 1. Helping 2. Listening. Confidentiality and Neutrality are a top priority. I blend a number of evidenced based treatments with complementary integrative interventions to help you meet your goals!

I'm passionate about helping people work through stress, anxiety, and life's tough moments. I offer a space where you can be real, feel heard, and start figuring things out one step at a time.

Many of our struggles make more sense when we understand the relationships and life experiences that shaped them. I’m passionate about helping people explore the deeper social and relational roots of their feelings and patterns so they can move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life.

In our first session, we'll discover what your struggles are. From there, we can discover the causes of those struggles and work on the best ways to cope with them.

My therapeutic philosophy begins with cultivating safety and trust. I understand that I am entering your private world, and this is a deep and sacred trust. Whether or not that trust has been violated by others in the past, I will create a sanctuary in which hurts that have created trauma, anxiety, and depression can be explored and understood.

I specialize in helping adults and teens navigate anxiety, depression, AD/HD, grief and loss, trauma, and life transitions. Through a holistic approach integrating traditional therapy with creative art therapy, I offer a unique way to explore and process emotions in a safe, non-judgmental space.

I'm the founder of MIDAAS Foundation, a practice providing inspiration, encouragement, and empowerment through collaboration. My areas of focus are anxiety, trauma, attention-deficit disorder, developmental delays, and neurodivergence.

I focus on providing empowerment, support, and guidance through strength-based approaches to help with behavioral needs, mood adjustments, anxiety, depression, life stressors, and other concerns. My goal is to create a collaborative space where we address the factors affecting your well-being.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Virginia and South Carolina. I am a former teacher who worked with the regular and special education environments. I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from the University of the Cumberlands.
