My name is Jacky (김재옥) & my name translates to "pearl of wisdom" in Korean. I am an LCSW in OR (pending in WA) with 11 yrs of exp in MH. My journey began advocating for individuals in the criminal justice system in public defender offices. As a former DACA kid and SA survivor, I carry a deep understanding of resilience and hope in everything I do.

People want to decrease stress, feel grounded, and secure. It's what I want too. We often become stuck in circumstances and in our own minds, which can cause significant distress and erode our sense of self. I can help you sort through difficult thoughts, emotions, and change behaviors that do not serve you anymore.

I am a licensed therapist in Michigan, California, Florida, and Washington with over a decade of experience assisting others to relieve distress and promote and restore positive relationships. I work with adults, helping them overcome anxious thoughts and behaviors and process past experiences.

I am a licensed mental health clinician with a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Washington, earned in 2021. For the past three years, I have worked as a mental health assessor, supporting individuals through complex emotional and psychological challenges.

I like to meet the client where they are at in life and treatment. I like to gauge what methologies are going to work for them, rather than make them mold to a single methodology. I employ empathy, person centered approaches as well as psychoeducational materials and worksheets. I like to help the client, but help the client help themselves.

My work is systems-based and pattern-focused. I look beyond isolated symptoms to understand how your nervous system, history, relationships, and environment interact. Symptoms are not random. They reflect patterns that can be understood and changed.

My life has led me to believe in the power of internal peace. I am especially helpful with political anxiety, generational trauma, relationships, parenting, life transitions, women's issues, women in tech, and trauma.
