My approach to therapy is one of open and honest communication. I like to be direct but at the same time gentle. I also utilize humor in my approach when it is needed. My focus has always been helping whomever I am working with become the best version of themselves.

As a woman of color, I value creating a space where your identity, culture, relationships, and lived experiences. I am a Middle Tennessee native and a proud graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where I earned my Master’s of Social Work. I bring significant experience to my practice, helping individuals navigate challenges such as religious trauma, substance abuse, grief and loss, attachment difficulties, and life transitions for young adults.

I have been in practice for 43 years, with specialties in general mental health and behavioral health problems and challenges. This includes depression, anxiety, adjustment, mood, relationship, and marital problems and concerns.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and doctoral candidate in psychology who works with individuals and couples navigating trauma, disconnection, and life transitions. I believe healing happens in safe, honest relationships, and I strive to create a space where clients feel both supported and challenged to grow.

We all experience a time when we need some help navigating life! I feel honored to be the lifeline for many people in this position. I am comfortable helping others through transitions, processing past trauma, family and relationship difficulties, and with nearly two decades as a corporate leader, I can also help with career/workplace issues.

I work exclusively with trauma and grief using EMDR, Jungian dream work, internal family systems, and everything I have learned as a therapist and a human. A multifaceted approach begins with what is alive in you in the present time.
