My communication style

My communication style begins with a Rogerian, person-centered, and non-confrontational approach. I then adapt my communication style based on each client's individual needs, personality, and goals. I am aware that every client is different and what works for one person may not work for another.

My journey to mental healthcare

I thought I was destined to be an RN, accountant, or IT. All of which never came to fruition. I feel the ability for myself to connect with people is what had propelled me to pursue my degree in counseling. Yes, this career path can be taxing and yet rewarding in the same aspect.

My goals for you

My goal is to help clients build confidence in themselves and to navigate challenges. As confidence grows, it can be easier to take meaningful action towards their goals. Progress happens collaboratively and depends on the client's willingness and readiness to explore new perspectives, develop coping strategies, and take steps toward change.

Our first session

As a client, you can expect to feel heard through active listening, empathy, and understanding. I do not expect you to share everything during the session, and there is no pressure to discuss anything you are not ready to address. My priority is to help you feel comfortable and safe within the Telehealth environment.
