My communication style

I like to provide a warm and friendly, yet professional environment, and to evaluate their comfort level. It is vital for me to know my clients beyond the diagnosis. Listen, encourage, know what their day-to-day struggles are, their likes and dislikes, hobbies, work life, roles, families, and pets, yet be professional.

My journey to mental healthcare

I started out as a Registered Nurse, providing care at the bedside and advocating for my patients. I advanced my education, earning a Master of Science Degree in Nursing, MS in Biochemistry and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.). This diversified my training and skill set, allows me to exceed expectations with the knowledge and skills in my current role.

My goals for you

In terms of goal setting with clients, I work with them to reach their goals, helping them use doable steps and modify if needed. I also provide clients with empowerment, resilience, empathy, and growth when needed.

Our first session

Getting to know the patient is very important, establishing a good rapport, providing a warm, comfortable, and friendly environment, and evaluating the patient's needs and how to work with them to attain optimum goals. Listening to clients is very important; working with clients and having their input is important in their care.
