My name is Stephanie and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work with adult individuals who want more balance in their lives and to improve their relationship with themselves and others. The clients I work with want to understand how to feel better, how to think more productively, and how to utilize their strengths in a way that will bring them closer to their goals. As a therapist, I am committed to creating a safe and inclusive space for all individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Central to my practice are the principles of anti-racism, LGBTQ+ allyship, and a feminist perspective. I firmly believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every person, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other aspect of their identity.
My approach
In our sessions, I aim to provide a safe and affirming space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. I value your unique identity and perspective, and I believe in the importance of validating your lived experiences. I offer client-centered therapy utilizing the therapeutic tools of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
My focus
I specialize in treating adults with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, grief, and trauma including cultural/immigration trauma.
My communication style
I don't believe in simply nodding along and reciting the same old script week after week. Our journey together will be far from passive; it will be dynamic, collaborative, and deeply affirming. My mission is to cultivate sessions that resonate with authenticity, free from judgment, and grounded in safety. Every interaction is an opportunity for us to co-create a space where you feel truly seen and heard. Your voice matters deeply, and I actively invite your feedback throughout our time together. Together, we'll navigate toward your goals with intentionality and clarity. My role isn't to dictate the path but to empower you in discovering and realizing the changes you seek.
My first session with you
Our first session is crucial for us to connect and set the stage for our therapeutic journey. We'll complete necessary paperwork, discuss policies, and ensure you're fully informed about your rights. I'm here to address any questions or concerns you may have, ensuring your comfort and confidence in our work together. Most importantly, I want to hear from you—what brings you to therapy and what goals you hope to achieve. Your story and aspirations will guide our journey towards healing and growth. By the end of our session, I aim for you to feel empowered and ready to embark on this journey with clarity and confidence.
