I am humbled by the opportunity to work with clients in therapy. My focus is on creating a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space for clients to bring and work through whatever they bring to treatment.
My approach
My approach to therapy is attachment-based, cognitive behavioral (CBT), culturally sensitive, family oriented, multicultural, utilizing parent-child interaction (PCIT), play therapy, strength-based, and trauma focused. I aim to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for clients to present and work through their issues in treatment.
My focus
I work with children, youth, and adults dealing with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, family issues, behavioral problems, cultural stress, job stress, men's issues, mood disorders, parenting challenges, self-esteem, sports performance, and child abuse or neglect.
My communication style
Aprecio la oportunidad de trabajar con clientes en terapia. Mi enfoque es de crear un ambiente seguro, de apoyo, y sin prejuicios para clientes puedan presentar y trabajar con lo que presenten en el tratamiento. I am fluent in Spanish and provide therapy through a culturally sensitive lens.
My journey to mental healthcare
I was motivated to pursue a career in mental healthcare after witnessing the positive impact that compassionate and skilled therapists can have in people's lives. My journey led me to earn a Masters of Arts degree and gain experience working with diverse populations facing various mental health challenges.
