Hi there, I'm Valerie!

I am an LCSW providing outpatient Psychotherapy for individuals struggling to manage the symptoms of trauma, anxiety, stress, ADD/ADHD, and adjustment disorders. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Level II, with a passion for helping those suffering from single-incident, critical incident, or complex compound trauma.

My focus

I want my clients to have the same evidence-based clinical skills for healthy coping, healing, personal growth, and emotional well-being. I aim to give my clients the necessary tools to manage life stressors, difficult circumstances, relationships, and moods.

My approach

I’m a science gal. I like to provide the ‘why’ we do certain skills and ‘how’ these skills will help, not just prescribe skills with no explanation. This is why evidence-based practices, like CBT and trauma-informed care, are so important. Evidence-based practice is goal-directed and solution-focused.
