My focus

I have worked with older teens, adults, and couples. I have provided individual and couples therapy. I have a specialty in substance abuse counseling.

My approach

The therapeutic approaches I utilize include Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

My communication style

I am compassionate and understanding. I am an active listener and take pride in providing a safe non-judgmental trusting environment to allow my clients to speak freely and unabbreviated.

My journey to mental healthcare

I've always been drawn to social work and helping others. I like working with people and helping them to find the beauty within themselves.

My goals for you

I believe everyone knows what they want, they just need a different perspective on how to view their challenges and frustrations to attain their goals. My approach and goal is to empower clients to believe in themselves and explore what they are willing to do to affect change in their lives.

Our first session

I prefer to do the mechanics- explain what therapy is, get to know each other, discuss confidentiality, review reasons for seeking help.
