My name is Maria Biasiotto. I am an LMFT=therapist and an RN specializing in Behavioral Health. I have experience in the mental health field, beginning as an RN and working in hospitals and clinics. And then earned my MA to be able to work as a therapist as well. My approach is Holistic. Considering the Mind-Body-Spirit approach. As well as a Solution Focused approach including CBT.
My approach
Solution-focused work helps one focus on what the issue is and the goal of how to get there. CBT focuses on changing your thinking to the positive - to change your life.
My focus
Adults with any issues. Excluding anyone with current, serious suicidal ideation. Suggesting that the person call 911 and go to a local ER for help. Or may have and follow their safety plan.
My communication style
I listen and learn about you, your issues, and your goals. Then work together with you towards manifesting that plan. One step at a time at your pace.
My journey to mental healthcare
As soon as I learned about psychology in RN school, I knew it was what I wanted to be involved in. I learned so much about myself and family dynamics. I wanted to share it with all who would listen.
