Hi there, I'm Dr. John Mark!

Hello! I'm Dr. John, Mark Krejci. I'm a licensed psychologist who focuses on strengths in clients from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and identities. Working collaboratively with clients, I help them find possibilities for positive change.

My approach

My approach to therapy is collaborative. I work together with clients to find opportunities for positive change, even when they are suffering from anxiety or depression. I use proven techniques that can immediately reduce stress and show clients that depression is treatable.

My focus

I focus on seeing individuals, couples, and minors (ages 13-17). My specialties include addiction, anxiety, career counseling, cultural stress, depression, gender identity, grief, job stress, LGBTQIA+ issues, life transitions, racial trauma, relationship issues, trauma and PTSD, and marital/pre-marital counseling.

My communication style

Trust is the most critical aspect of the therapy relationship. With me as your psychologist, you have the opportunity to confide in an experienced and empathetic professional, discover new ways to think and act, and work toward waking up to a morning when you feel good again, maybe for the first time. Therapy can be uncomfortable at times, especially as complex issues surface, but I will be there to support you through the process.

My journey to mental healthcare

I earned my Master of Science (MS) degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I studied from August 2000 to August 2002. This education provided the foundation for my journey to becoming a mental healthcare professional. I am passionate about using my skills to help people from diverse backgrounds find strength and make positive changes in their lives.

My goals for you

My goal for you is to help you build trust, feel supported, and discover new ways of thinking and acting that allow you to wake up feeling good about yourself and your life. I want to collaborate with you to reduce your stress, treat your depression or anxiety, and work through any complex issues that may arise, so you can experience positive change and renewed well-being.

My first session with you

In our first session together, we will focus on building rapport and trust. I will listen empathetically to your story, concerns, and goals for therapy. We will work together to identify your strengths and discuss how we can collaborate to help you find relief from stress, anxiety, or depression and make positive changes in your life. You can expect me to be supportive, non-judgmental, and focused on understanding your unique needs and perspectives.
