Finding a good therapist can feel a bit like shoe shopping...you may try a few pairs before you find one that fits. I hope to be your pair "that fits."
My approach
My therapeutic approach is Narrative Therapy. This type of approach uses the idea that we are not our problems...Problems are problems. We will explore, discover, and name your problem, identify unique outcomes, and build your preferred identity separate from "problems."
My focus
I am willing to see individuals and couples. My specialties include anxiety, codependency, divorce, family conflict, job stress, life coaching, life transitions, marital/pre-marital issues, men's issues, peer relationships, pregnancy/prenatal/postpartum concerns, relationship issues, self-esteem, sexual orientation, spirituality, women's issues, and stress.
My communication style
Narrative approach positions you the client as 'Expert' of your life. I am here to help support, reflect, guide, and offer ways to deconstruct previous assumptions and celebrate your unique outcomes as we explore/discover your story together.
My journey to mental healthcare
I earned my MS in Counseling which set me on the path to a career in mental healthcare, driven by a passion to support others in their life journeys.
My goals for you
My goal is to assist you in discovering exceptions to your problem narrative, build your preferred identity separate from problems, and celebrate the unique outcomes we discover together.
My first session with you
In our first session, we will begin to explore your story, identify the problems you want to take a stand against, and set goals for what you hope to achieve through our therapeutic partnership.
