Hi there, I'm Megan!

I have been seeing clients professionally since 2018 for multiple nonprofits in the Bay Area. I have been lucky enough to work with families from all different backgrounds and work through stressful situations that arise. Our goal through our work together will be to make you feel more confident and connected to those around you.

My focus

I usually work with individuals and families going through transitions that have the potential to be stressors, such as a death in the family, a divorce, any new diagnoses in the family, such as anxiety or autism, family conflict, school issues, and parenting. Through these hard times, you will all find coping skills and work on your self-esteem.

My approach

I use client-centered therapy and pull from different modalities such as mindfulness, compassion-focused, play therapy, exposure, CBT, and solution-focused to be able to meet the client(s) where they are at, rather than trying to fit them into a certain modality. You are the expert on you and your family. I am here to support your growth.

My communication style

I create a non-judgmental environment through supportive and open communication. I will be calm and patient while reflecting on your experiences. We will set goals that are important to you and not waste time doing things you have already tried. Our goal will be to get you where you want to be in life.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was drawn to being a therapist because I have seen firsthand people in my life achieve so much through therapy, and I wanted to help people through this. I care about you and your mental health. Resiliency is our goal through all of the twists and turns life can throw at all of us.

My goals for you

I believe that people are capable of so much if they just have the correct environment to support them to where they want to go. We can heal, grow, and change our circumstances. I believe in changing the plan when it is not working and knowing that, as you gain insights about your circumstances, our goals can change as well.

Our first session

Therapy can be intimidating for some, understandably. I am ready to start slowly or jump right in, depending on where you are in your journey. I am excited to get to know you and see if we would be a good match. I am honored to be in the field that I am in. I do not take my job lightly.
