Hi there, I'm Soua!

Do you want to live a more satisfying life and develop deeper and more meaningful relationships? I seek to help clients develop goals for their growth and structure sessions to accomplish small gains that will eventually lead to great progress. With over 15 years of experience in the clinical field, I specialize in working with children, couples, individuals, and families on issues such as domestic violence, behavioral problems, anxiety, depression, trauma, and personality disorders.

My approach

I understand therapy as a collaborative approach between the client and the therapist. Together, we can work through your struggles to manage and adapt your coping skills and thought patterns. I use a variety of modalities including dialectical behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, exposure response prevention, and strength-based approaches. I tailor each session to your level of comfort to provide you with a safe space for healing.

My focus

I work with individuals of all ages, with a focus on adolescents/teens and adults. My specialties include addiction, anger management, autism or Asperger's syndrome, bipolar disorder, borderline personality, coping skills, cultural stress, divorce, ADHD, emotional disturbance, infidelity, impulsivity, job stress, life transitions, parenting, panic attacks, mood disorders, school issues, self-harming, women's issues, and teen violence.

My communication style

Whether the session is done in person or through telehealth, I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings. I am an active listener and will provide empathy, guidance, and practical strategies to help you navigate life's challenges. I believe in your innate ability to create positive changes and will support and empower you every step of the way.

My goals for you

My goal is to help you gain insight into your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, develop healthier coping mechanisms, improve your relationships, and ultimately lead a more fulfilling life. I aim to equip you with the tools and skills you need to better manage stress, overcome obstacles, and achieve your personal goals. Through our work together, I hope to enhance your self-awareness, build your resilience, and empower you to create lasting, positive changes.

My first session with you

During our first session, we will discuss what brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. I will ask questions to better understand your background, current situation, and any challenges you are facing. This is also an opportunity for you to ask me any questions you may have about my approach and experience. Together, we will begin to develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and goals. You can expect a supportive, collaborative environment where you feel heard, validated, and empowered.
