I am a solution-focused, collaborative therapist highly motivated to help you achieve your goals as quickly as possible. I am happy to approach therapy from a faith-based perspective if you are interested in including that in our work.
My approach
My approach to therapy is solution-focused and collaborative. I have completed professional training in EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing). Through personal experience and training, I have developed skills to support others on their journey out of the prison of addiction and alcoholism into freedom and a fuller life. I am also trained to help couples, as I have seen marriage counseling work in my own marriage and blended family, bringing immense healing and growth beyond what I expected.
My focus
I work with individuals and couples. In providing individual and couple counseling, I have seen people discover the strength, meaning, and healing they have been needing and wanting, progressing toward their goals in ways they never imagined. It is inspiring and humbling.
My communication style
My communication style is direct yet compassionate. I listen intently to understand your perspective and goals. I ask thought-provoking questions to help you gain clarity and insight. My feedback is honest and constructive, focused on empowering you to find solutions and make positive changes.
