Hello, I am Sarah Ruminson LMFT #140887 and I have worked in the mental health field for over 3 years. I worked for a community-based mental health company which provided me the opportunity to treat all ages and a variety of diagnoses.
My approach
I gravitate toward using CBT, DBT, Client centered, Solution Focused, Psychodynamic, and Family Systems approaches
My focus
I have worked with a variety of clients ranging from infantry to elderly. I am open to all ages and really enjoy working with children.
My communication style
I am open with communication and collaborate with mh clients on their comfort level with communication and their communication style. Working with me is having an ally and advocate.
My journey to mental healthcare
I was attracted to working in the mental health field due to personal experiences with loved ones who struggled with mental health needs and did not receive the support they needed. I am driven to help others with their journey and provide resources available or needed.

I set goals based on my clients needs and their comfort level with achieving goals within a realistic timeframe.

Clients can expect building rapport and trust, collecting information, and active listening to develop realistic goals.
