Hi there, I'm Robin!

Hello, I am Robin Martin. I am an LPCC. My vision is to be a beacon of hope and healing where children, families, and caregivers experience the transformative power of counseling. I am dedicated to provide support, therapy, and invaluable resources that empower individuals to navigate the complex world of mental health, school systems, IEPs, and 504s. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, teens & collegiates who have ADHD, anxiety, problems in school, or behavioral issues, school refusal, divorce/separation, self-harm, trauma, sexual & physical abuse, neglect, family conflict, grief and loss, suicide ideation, relationship issues and more.

My approach

I'm a passionate Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor dedicated to helping children navigate life's challenges at SCV Children's Counseling. With six kids of my own and a strong belief in both faith and clinical knowledge, I create a safe and compassionate environment for children to explore, grow, and heal. As a mother, Christian LPCC, and experienced counselor in school settings, I specialize in addressing a range of challenges, including special needs, behavior problems, and emotional issues. Beyond my immediate family, I have four grandchildren and valuable experience working with students, teachers, and administrators. My commitment extends beyond the counseling room as I aim to be a resource for families facing diverse educational and emotional challenges. Whether your child is dealing with anxiety, difficult transitions, or other emotional challenges, I'm here to provide a supportive space and work toward building resilience and confidence for a brighter future.

My focus

My client focus is children from 3-24 and their families. I help people with ADHD, ASD, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, behavioral problems in academic settings, trauma, and family issues.

My communication style

I provide a safe and calming environment for my clients. We spend time building rapport through play therapy, talk therapy, and mindfulness. Sessions are client-focused. Cheerleading, support, and education are a big part of our sessions.

My journey to mental healthcare

I love helping people discover who they are and how they can grow and find peace in this life.

My goals for you

Goal setting is done by working with the clients through motivational interviewing and asking them what their main goal of therapy is. Sometimes interpretation and reframing are needed to help them define their goals.

My first session with you

I strive to make them feel at home and comfortable. We go over confidentiality and practice policies. If they have filled out forms ahead of time we will go over those. In addition, we talk about why they are seeking therapy and what they have done in the past.
