Art Imla, LMFT #90953: I like to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help all with life's concerns and challenges. By focusing on the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, clients can empower themselves to make the changes they seek in their lives.
My approach
The primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the most common theoretical approach in the country.
My focus
Do you feel like you're running a marathon but don't know when or how to stop? Feeling a lot of anxiety? Or maybe some days you wake up with "the Mondays" - and it may not even be Monday. Let's help you feel cared for, accomplished, and recognized. If you are like many of us, you most likely spend a lot of your days trying to get along with others - whether they are your partner, toxic boss, or someone you live with. You deserve more peace.
My communication style
I'm the coach in your corner. I'll cheer you on, back you up, and call you out if there's a way we can do it better. I love to use analogies, which can be quirky or odd at times (hopefully, they are helpful and even funny at times!).
My journey to mental healthcare
I've always been complimented on the way I can listen and understand others in a way that feels personable, safe, and comfortable. Having a certain education in the field of therapy can take you only so far and I believe I have a natural skillset of hearing and honoring others which excelled me as a therapist.
My goals for you
I want to hear your voice and empower you with what you want to do with your life.
My first session with you
A comfortable, relaxed, and judgment-free conversation where I get to listen and learn about you and your journey that brought you to this moment.
